That I Would Die For

That I Would Die For

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

That I Would Die For

Let me cleanse you of your pain,

like a gentle summer shower

that leaves the air refreshed.

Let me wash away your guilt,

like soap upon your skin

and make you silky soft.

Let me hold you and adore you

with every ounce of love

that I have in my heart.

For every moment in your life

I grow stronger,

and I know my soul belongs to you.

So let us collide like planets

so our universe explodes

and erupts with joy.

Let me kiss you deep

and in the meeting of our mouths

feel the passion of truth.

Give yourself faithfully to me

in that sweet, sweet surrender

that I would die for.

Thank you kind lady.
Why am I reading this on a self publishing website?? Why is this not in a worth-every-penny hardback to be kept in the "good end" of the book shelf with books that you treasure and pass on to your kids as heirlooms of important and classic writing. I read ALOT! And your stuff gets to me. I want to sit in my reading chair with the feel of a good quality binding in my hands and read your work. You are simply brilliant. Thank you.

Thank you Sheema I feel very humbled by your lovely reviews.
I like the thought of someone wanting to cleanse away the pain.. Some times we get so caught up in "us" we forget what the other goes through..

Wonderfully penned passion..x

A very steady and continuous rhythm; to this sounds like a very faithful women; a type of women with pleasant womanly values.

"Let me kiss you deep
and in the meeting of our mouths
feel the passion of truth."

This part was a bit upbeat from the rest of the poem I thought; for me it started off and continued to level out on a caring and loving realm until it went up a notch and got... "tangy" that's just my initial feeling, in the first read through.

These words make a woman purr. Lord Byron would have loved to have penned this poem but that was not to be. Sad for him~~~ good for you.

Enjoyed your planets colliding and exploding ~~ very well written and delicately passionate. Love it.
