When Seeking Love

When Seeking Love

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Advice.

"

When Looking for Love

Force not an echo from a rock

for there is the fool indeed.

To pound at such density

in the hope of hearing ones

own voice is but mortal folly.

Waste not such precious vitality

upon one who would spurn

all that you would earnestly

offer of yourself.

Someone who would reject

your honest and giving heart.

Instead take up cause upon

the road to heaven's arms

among the angels

who would serve you.

...there's much beauty in between those lines, and a very wise man with a compassionate heart.

Thank you so much Kelly you are most kind in your praise. Have missed you?
The power you roll out in your chosen words John in poems and reviews is astounding! If I had half your vocabulary I would be a dangerous man lol

Thank you Trace.
You are on a roll today. too much time away from the pen and now it all comes out. NIce piece with imagery of trying to find love in the wrong place I would say. I have never had good luck when I took a rock out on a date. No conversation. Just laid there stone faced.

Shakespeare and Breezy are to blame! Many thanks Willard. Went to see Twelfth Night last night.
You keep outdoing yourself John. The opening line in this is amazing. Are you a geologist?
Its just the mantle on a full on unique piece.
Pure Class my friend.
