True Love Never Dies

True Love Never Dies

A Poem by Dara

I still love you deeply

though I know you are gone.

Your sweet caress

your warm embrace,

those memories  linger on.

I dream of you and wear our love

like a worn out tattoo.

And like a stray

whose soul you fed,

I keep running back to you.

My heart is aching, slowly breaking

with each beat it comes undone.

But I pray one day

we’ll meet again,

the “two for life as one.”

Author's Note

Dara
I took this photo last year the day Noel G. Coward was laid to rest. The words in quotations came from a poem he wrote for me. I still feel his spirit strongly, everyday.
