There is a combination of daring and wistfulness in your Valentine poem, dear Pat. Especially smiled and nodded at -
'She herself is vulnerable to the Whispers of
Persuasion as Mischief of a Wink becomes an aphrodisiac... '
You have a wise perspective of Woman when she needs show both femininity AND determination !
(Sorry to have missed this great poem on the day, Pat.)

That sounded like the opening for a piece that you could have easily called Lorrys sunday, without the afro-dizzy-act! 😊
But thank you for reminding me i have to go spend my ten pounds (her idea, not mine. She says it makes you try harder and i just got her to put it up from five pounds, which she agreed to because she saw a book i wanted for £8. And dont worry, she spends exactly 10 pounds so im expecting a bag of penny sweets too (which thanks to cost of living are now 5p each... For a penny sweetie? The world has gone mad.
It may be a well timed reminder this year, with wars spreading over the map, to let love win, for a day at least.
And i hope if cupids arrows fall, it isnt as painful as it sounds and heals well from the intrusion! 😊

I really like the line “ whispers of persuasion…’.. very sensual indeed , and appropriate for Valentines Day, yet all of these soft , vivid images, are equally appropriate and are typically yours……your “wild “ woman has much lightening in her character, especially her smile…..

This reminds me a gypsy wild and carefree without thought to what others think. I can picture a woman running through a field of wildflower away from the city. Enjoying the sun; as someone special watches in aww and gives a simple wink in acknowledgment
