The wounded animal is at its most dangerous when approached.
This animal has been festering for a lot of years now.
An open wound covered by the bloody bandage of past glories.
Waiting to rise.
Seeking direction.
The inspiring leader.
When the world seeks guidance, and the house is dark.
Dangerous times lie ahead.

ominous .. universal truth .. i usually am the optimist that inflames some indignation at the naivete' of that kind of ignorance ..but applied to our election...i am very hopeful ..Donald Trump overcame adversity from all sides and has won over every other choice .. he has displayed, already, his ability to keep and promote jobs here in the USA .. i think we will all continue to be surprised .. i hope so anyway .. in the same way i hope whenever new administrations come to serve ... i think the worst to happen would be the same disregard for tax payers money, accountability, honesty, and caring that we are so use to ... so here is to good and positive things to come ... cheers says i! ;)
i think your poem is well crafted .. the personification of the wounded animal (a bear in my mind) is strong ...i like your second to last line also ..its a stark contrast that loads up your closing line ..

One thing i agree with Trump on. Don't take your business away, and expect to sell back to the American people. Britain allowed it, still does. I would hit those companies hard.
