This Is My Chair

This Is My Chair

A Poem by Pauline

This is my chair and mine alone

This is my think station, my ruling zone

This is my chair where I have my say

Where you stop and listen and sometimes obey

This is my chair in which I dream

In a world where things are not what they seem

This is my domain where pretence hangs around

With fiddlesticks and baloney are bound to be found

This is my chair where kids often creep

To curl on a lap when wanting to sleep

And this is the chair where they’re kissed goodnight

Gee
A nice easy flowing poem that gives a brief glimpse into your world.
Should "with fiddlesticks" be "where fiddlesticks"

Good afternoon

Thanks Gee and yes, it should be 'where'
thanks for pointing that out.

A totally enjoyable poem. I have my own chair I find myself in every night. The laptop keeps me company. :)

About
I've been writing poetry for some time now. It allows me to escape some of the doldrums of life. I also paint when life allows me some quiet time. I wouldn't say I was great at either passtimes but I.. more..
