Inspiration
A Poem by
Sharon Miller Bolander
Just some thoughts on the illusive nature of inspiration
Inspiration's an illusive thing--- It comes and goes; It wanes and springs. It floats upon imagined wings--- It hides at times and then it sings. Just when it's not a welcomed guest, It wakes the mind to some new quest And keeps the night from bringing rest As if it's some unwanted test. Alas, who am I to complain? I live for inspiration's pain. What better moments can I spend than those that inspiration lend! By Sharon Miller Bolander

Inspiration can sometimes come at such inopportune times - just when you can't find a pen. Inspiration then
becomes frustration. But as your poem reminds us, there is no gain without pain. But you have phrased it so much more eloquently:-)

Spot on and well said, dear poet. Your inspiration on 'inspiration' is...inspiring.
