Forever in my Heart

Forever in my Heart

A Poem by Sharon Miller Bolander

As twilight touches down this lonely eve
I gaze again into your loving eyes
And raise my lips to sip of starlit skies
Before the magic realm of make believe.
Inside my heart, I yearn for your embrace
Yet knowing that this choice is not to be.
Within my view, the stars shine fancy-free
And, in my dreams, reveal your smiling face.
My fingers reach to touch the heavens above.
Each gentle breeze seems like a whisper shared
As memries wash across the life we shared
Retracing days of pleasure, nights of love.

The moon and stars may bid a fond adieu,
But never shall I lose my love for you.

Romantic and beautiful Sharon. The sadness and gentleness was so tangiable in your wonderfully crafted poem. So many beautiful lines and I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite!

Excellent work!
