Running as Fast as I Can

Running as Fast as I Can

A Poem by Sharon Miller Bolander

What’s the song that I came to sing?

Let me tell you just one thing!

If you think I’ve a voice that’s grand,

You should sit ‘cause you’ll fall if you stand.

Ev’ry child within range will cry,

And adults will not wonder why.

It’s as plain as some chalk ‘gainst a board---

I can’t hit any note or chord!

If a pantomime’s your cup of tea,

You’re still knocking upon the wrong tree.

If I open my jaw,

All you’ll hear is heehaw

As I laugh at the thought and just flee.

LOL, great humor Sharon! Yikes..."It's as plain as some chalk 'gainst a board---".....even just
reading that line can put my teeth on edge! I can relate, can't carry a single note either!

I so enjoyed the read and had a good chuckle too!

Thanks for keeping the dream alive!

Sharon...I can't beleive you're that bad...but this little ditty is decidedly a great write for the challenge phrase. Talking about being able to sing my friend, I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket...LOL.
Love...liz
