Realization

Realization

A Poem by Mr. Deft Diction
"

This is more "natural" for me. The tempo and the flow, really. I rhyme because I'm hip-hop; but I'm really comfortable in this 'skin', too.

"

I thought of you today, and it felt so new,

looking into the sky, because I could see

seeded life in the womb of the clouds,

and my reflection in blue.

I promise you that for the rest of my life on this Earth,

that I will reciprocate always,

by being a reflection of you.

And I still struggle at times with being a man and...

trying my damndest to be as beautiful.

I long for the touch of your fingertips

as milligrams of bliss tingle on my lips,

entering thru my own cuticles.

I just want to hold hands and...

do it like we're 'going steady',

letting you know that these feelings birthed by our

consumation is both identical and mutual.

And I call you my wife because mothers make the breath possible;

but what you possess and bless my humbled self with is

life...

paramount and on a path toward its pinnacle.

There is no question about how devout I am,

as my tongue tastes every single syllable of your hummed spiritual,

when we....

sit in the crescent moon and

I try to impress you in school boy ways by throwing stars in the sky.

None of them really can compare to the twinkle in your eyes,

or be as inviting as your smile.

If I die tonight, I should hope that my request is granted

with you as my last meal.

I thought of you today, and tomorrow will only be different

in Julian days,

because this vibe is so nice, to walk away

would be the death of dreams and....

you let me know that those are real.

Please feel my....

Love.

I'm sitting here in my cubicle in my office reading this and getting all misty-eyed...

My mother's eyes read this:
"promise you that for the rest of my life on this Earth,

that I will reciprocate always,

by being a reflection of you.

And I still struggle at times with being a man and..."

and thought for sure it was about a mother ( I have 2 sons :) ) then kept reading hehe... but regardless... what a loving treasure this.. really beautiful.. will be reading more when I am not 'cubicle-bound'..... *sneaking back to work now*

Mary Jane is a sassy lady, and you've captured her essence perfectly. I know the feeling, and it definitely rivals a physical being. Sometimes, I think the plant is better. A lot less bullshit, anyway.
These lines were amazing:
as milligrams of bliss tingle on my lips,
entering thru my own cuticles.
I just want to hold hands and...
do it like we're 'going steady',

As soon as I read them, I knew what you were talking about. Beautiful imagery put to the action of smoking. I think you fooled a few people with this one, but I know where you're coming from. EXCELLENT JOB!!!

A lot of love hear, a lot to be admired I think as well. Love should be spred as far and wide as possible, plus given and taken in the right way. It sounds like you are doing exactly that.

Feel the love, use the love, and give the love...

Nice write man, I love it
