Liberty

Sometimes taken for granted ....

Liberty

Freedom is precious

Abusing our privileges

Restricts its power

freedom is an essential thing and it gets a call from an intelligent, free spirited soul..in politics,, I don't need to add anything extra but at different aspect of life, it is very necessary. a long period of silence makes one forget about it's strength..strong and wonderful words

Is it a self-fulfilling prophecy or elliptical? In any case, you’ve captured it well here in the fewest words.

Befitting words! Freedom sure is the most essential thing and everyone has the right to enjoy it. I really liked the way you summed it all in just a few words. Brevity is an art after all!

Great image, Senryu, and great thought. Freedom must never be corrupted into abuse. That would be an atrocity. Thank you for your wise words my friend!

I really enjoyed this poem, and I’m looking forward to reading more of your pieces. I'm kind of new on here and it would be an honor if you can review my 4 new recent poems. (The world is ours, Nostalgia, Paradise, and You)

Thank you and Keep up the Good work!

Just read the reviews. ( Mr X has got you wonderful haiku absolutely wrong!) I agree with the others, it is an apt and clever haiku. The abuse of privileges certainly makes a mockery of freedom. I am sure there are many who could benefit by reading this! Nicely done.

Restrict is power. I don't think so. Restrict is sign of weakness and fear. Maybe you should also say what's are our priveleges .

Thank you for your kind review - bless :-)
How should we live? Should we aim for happiness or knowledge? For virtue or the creation of beautiful objects? Can we justify living in opulence while somewhere else people are starving? Which politician is an example on ethics or morality? Your words made me think. Who is humble and thankful for the freedom we have? Not easy to answer.
