Rapturous Passion

Rapturous Passion

Rapturous Passion

Silk draped words of tenderness

Encapsulate shared dreams,

And whimsical whispers gently brush

Against two beating hearts,

Entwined in private rituals accord

No time or space exists apart from theirs.

Musky melding intoxicating scents

Abridge both lovers' souls,

In vapour resonance their love unfolds

In singularity they both reside,

For they seek not approval

From a tainted unexacting world.

Phil ...

This is incredibly done....
These two lines...

in a class ...by themselves

"No time or space exists apart from theirs."

"Musky melding intoxicating scents"

Only you could capture the heat and smoldering sensuality ....
generated ...when lost in the oblivion without as much as one single raunchy word...

That my poetic brother is... SKILL

Blessssssssssssssssssss

Beautiful. It's so passionate. . . I loved,
''Silk draped words of tenderness,''
I loved the ideas that come with that.
This is really good.

great piece. I love the line "No time or space exists apart from theirs. " it is a feeling that anyone that has been there can identify with. Getting lost in the passion of one another. At that time it seems like nothing else will ever matter.
good work.

As has been said already this is a beautiful poem and skillfully crafted to allude to the absolute intimacy of lovers without being graphic. Very well done.

"In singularity they both reside,

For they seek not approval

From a tainted unexacting world" this describes young love to the very letter, my talented friend! Great choice of words.
"Entwined in private rituals " excellent!
