Cracks

Cracks

A Poem by B

Image result for drawings art

Through lost decrepit places
Sitting within wary caves of wanderings

Cracks that shun rayless ideas of existence
A man sitting by the banks of aspired emptiness

Rich with all that corpus matter
Pockets of wishes shining a lucent rainbow

Until he taunted a reach deep down within
As another man delved the bottom of hope

He understood this oblivion in sensing despair
For within his pleasant heart he held so much to spare

Though those keen cracks would spread light
Immitating actions of the virtuous wind

Gazing upon another unobstructed sun
He learns of a new place of truth

Because he would be the man that once dropped things broken

Is one ensnared with emotion though stars surely leap
On the ground disheveled for once in his time

The cracked drawings delineated
Whispering complexity within

We all came to vivid birthings of simple emotions
Some are set free into a narrated sea of dreams

Others sit there broken
A sculpted fingerprint of life

To prove you have stated your arrival
And with it you hold a tycoon of departures

Thank you so much Andrew
I admit I'm not good at reading highly nuanced messages like this, so bear with me. I understood only about half your message, but still I love your uninhibited collection of observations, stated with originality. The artwork is stunning & nicely relevant. I particularly like the way you play with light references (sun, rainbow, stars) and good use of unique & expressive words.

Line 1: decrepit
Line 6: shining
Line 12: virtuous

thank you ........
The image itself is compelling. As is life itself.
No matter how prosperous we are. Life can still deal you rocks. I suppose in a way. Life is full of obstacles.
We drive through full of hope. But in the end, you wonder if you really left.

Thank you Wordman
such irony of life ... you are as always complicated ...full of contrasts ... vivid imagery ... your closing in this one is what especially grabs my meditative spot .. there is boldness and power yet the departures do give me pause ...
