Hope

At first I was hopeless,

And ready to quit.

Then I met you,

And was given a gift.

A gift of courage, 

Of love and kindness.

Now I'm no longer blocked

By all of my blindness.

You believed in me,

And trusted me.

Now I'm no longer hopeless,

But ready to be

Part of God's wonderful world, 

For you have placed a new hope in me...

Yes. I like your poetry, including this one..they are insightful yet simple at the same time. They are evocative yet "to-the-point." I like it. Hope is a beautiful gift; it brings us out of pain, and restores new 'life' to us..helping up to breathe and to carry on..I can feel where you are at in your life right now as well as painting a beautiful picture of what 'Hope' is.
