Like a Fine Glass of Red Wine.....

Lush smooth silky to touch

perfectly elegant so divine
Softly pour not too much

like a fine velvety Red Wine 

To name a wine after me

a fine wine I already know

This wine really has to be

the one they call Merlot

 

Wine me dine me you will see

drench me in Tuscany Sun

Just how fruity I can be

together we'll have lots of fun!

Your poem is well written & creative as a message about a person, comparing someone to wine, blending the idea of spending time together as if it's like drinking wine. For me, a poem like this could be pumped up in the sensory department. What does this person/wine look like? smell like? taste like? swirl like? This tribute is written as a cerebral benediction rather than a sensory one (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
