In a small village near Chu Lai, S. Vietnam I am walking in a small pond waist high water, spiced with Agent Orange, the snake entered me. Years later it manifested in illness. I sing om to the divine and thank you for your beautiful wisdom.

Perhaps for me the snake was a positive image … I always found a kinship with it as we were both so immersed in our fear that we forgot the beauty that was so evident all around us … I guess war is a global manifestation of that fear … I do hope you found your way back to health … knowing you … I know you found the love:)

The progression in style and presentation is really obvious. Im only getting to Chap 14 since I was away last week.
I got the Calgon reference so I immeadiately felt really old ;)

I think inside the snake may have been screaming too.

Sometimes I find the captions distracting. In the first episode I reviewed (anger) I liked the captions, but this one (and I also saw part of the narcissus one) I felt overloaded and even missed parts of the spoken poetry and went back to listen again.
Then again, I have mixed feelings about oral poetry in the first place. I love hearing the author's emphasis - but I can't dwell on the words as I could if it were written.

I liked "full ... soul" - I forget the line.
I liked "This just in from the centre of the universe".

Nature is blooming, but your allergic to it goes in my top ten list of things you've said.
Ah, and now "grandfather time is an excellent bouncer" :D


Hmm. Despite the amount of noise and fear the snake and I created - the sacred pond went no where. I'll have to think about that more.
