I will always love him.

Always With Me

When people ask me

Where is my boyfriend..

I say he is in Missouri going to school

But when I said it today,

Tears formed in my eyes

Because I wanted him by my side

But my frown turned into a smile

Because I looked down at my wrist

I was wearing the bracelet he made me..

And I realized he is always holding my hand..

At night when I am laying in bed

All I feel is alone,

Wishing I had him next to me

But I reach for the blanket he gave me

And wrap it around my entire body

Like he is holding me tightly with his arms

And he is always going to keep me warm at night..

When men are checking me out

About to make a move,

All I have to do is

Raise my hand and show them the ring

That the love of my life gave me

And that way others know

That he is always going to love me

Whenever something comes to my mind

When I have to leak all my feelings out

All I have to do is pull out the journal

That he has given me,

For all of my poetry

And I can hold the book close

Just like he always will..

And when I am missing him dearly

I can hold all the things that he has given me

Close to my heart and never let go..

And most importantly, I will always have his heart

Just because isn’t here

He is always with me..

What a wonderful story of love. It is great to acknowledge the many things that can keep you connected. You have done that so well here. Some people do not take the time when they are in a long distance relationship to see the things that can keep them closer. Love reaches all boarders.
