When all you do is push and shove

How is it so you long for love

You search around for the perfect one

And all you find is a love undone

You put yourself down again and again

How about you try a different spin

Instead of searching for love all around

Love yourself and you will become unbound

The shackles you wrapped around you long ago

Will slowly slip off and you will know

The love you were searching for didn’t exist

Your eyes open and seeing through the mist

Nobody can love you the way that you do

Now that you see, to you, you’ll always be true

Sad for a love that isn't to be, yet beautifully happy for the feeling of self worth and pride in what we should all be doing a little more. Appreciating us for who we are and the achievements we hold dear, and letting go of any mistakes we let hold us back.

That is just it though, as you drop those shackles and love yourself a true love is bound to show eventually, we just all focus so much on searching for love when we need to focus on loving ourselves.

Thank you. I was actually thinking of someone as I was writing this. He is always so depressed because he hasn't been able to find love but I see his unhappiness with himself and his lack of confidence even though he is a really great person as well and I am always telling him that he needs to love himself. Thank you for reading this and once again agreeing on a way in which we should all live our lives... loving ourselves and staying positive.
