CULTURE-The tribes of Yercaud is known as Malayalis. The word Malayali means Hill men. Agriculture and tourism are the two major earning sources of yercaud. The main occupation are spices and fruit plantation. The languages spoken are Tamil.

FESTIVALS -Summer festivals are held every year in the second week of May. Flower shows, dog shows and boat races are held. There is an annual festival held for Lord Servarayan the presiding deity of Shevaroy Hills. It is a 7 day village fair.

ADVENTURE SPORTS -
Trekking -There are lot of wooded areas there are caves that are explored.

Camping -For adventure sports, traveller, camping and tenting this place is the apt place with beautiful nature around.

SHOPPING -Fresh spices, cloves, pepper, natural oils, textiles, handloom fabrics, coffee are famously shopped. Flower market, Leigh bazaar and wholesome market are popular shopping market streets.
