Maria

Maria

A Poem by Robin
"

looking across memory lane

"

Maria always looked down

when she softly spoke

then raise her eyes , biting

full lips that spilled desire

a silhouette cut for little black dresses

black hair that flowed in gentle waves toward her hips

she danced with both arms in the air

and snapped her head back

when she laughed

tequila made her smile

watching her fingers trace the rim

I knew she wanted more

she leaned against me

graced her cheek against mine

whispering delicately into my ear

and lit the fires of the night to come ...

This is a stunning story you have painted in this poem. The allure of women. Everyone has their own special encounter that they can remember of course mine is about a man but as humans we all can relate to this poem quite well. I like that I can picture this scene in my mind clearly.

I swear I made out with this lady in Houston... like 6 years ago! sure we didn't share her?.... this is as beautiful as my memory.

I wish someone would describe an encounter with me like that. The most poetry I'd get out of my husband is, "Your breasts looked do-able that night."

nice ... a very smooth flow of thoughts that take one to the very core of feeling the same sensations of this poetry...

I would say thats a happy date then lol Beautifully versed love, the fires that will keep the night going, leaves intrigue at the end, kind of unresolved and not lol Great poem hon xx

Maria is my mother's name so it made me laugh to read this with her in mind; she would be the woman to look down and speak softly but to drink and be more assertive with the male interest sounds more like me :)

this was a fun read.

Very beautiful and seductive in a playful and delightful way, the words spill with want and desire. Nicely done.
