Weathering words

Weathering words

A Poem by Robin
"

finding meaning

"

most never notice

wingless angels who sit near fountains

who without words split clouds

to let you peer into the meaning of gold

imagining thrones and tilted crowns
white queens and impossible things

as the cat-eyed sun stares

you bow and shake your head

and you blink -

because the stars suddenly appear

as a moth queries a parking lot light

and you feel the wind dip its sable brush

into rainpuddle shimmers

and I shiver

stepping into star beams

feeling each pinprick of light

lost in time

and up there I noticed

seraphs swimming in the ether of night

the fountain bubbled sweetly

and I turned to listen to its song

to see a wingless angel

who without words

let me find

the meaning of gold

I love it! Your own unique truth and meaning to life- starts with self.
Pondering upon the beauty of your surroundings and appreciation for "wingless angels who sit near fountains who without words split clouds to let you peer into the meaning of gold" and understanding your own perceptions of your "gold."

I'm sure the angles are reading this and whispering that they are delighted. Wonderful write!

this is a wonderful poem about those angels being there around us everywhere. Wingless they maybe but they are here. The imagery is soothing and calm in this poem and it makes me feel a sense of ease

No one does notice - most are not looking or perhaps they would-
Such a lovely group of words.

This is inspiring to say the least. I like how you show that the meaning of gold isn't the meaning of gold as we know it. The true angels, the ones who are wingless, show us that don't they?

Nice write.

Beautiful. I am touched and a little bit awed by your ability to summarize and transfigure loss into loveliness.

You caught a beautiful experience within a dirty grey world. A moment of enlightenment and joy.
