Long ago

A Sailor lived

Out there by the sea

And always when

He rode the waves

He felt his soul was free

His eves

He spent

On the coast

Watching there with glee

How she moved

Back and Forth

Ever steadily

One night

They danced

And afterward

He drifted off to sleep

Beneath

The stars

Floating there

She came into his dream

They spent

The night

Happily

The Sailor and the Sea
