Conscious

Conscious

A Poem by Revery

On the delicate frost of yesterday

My memory floats like a leaf

My want fights to notice

and take account

All fears lost to ecstasy

but lucid sensibility

begs for reason

and a penumbra of a

conscious thought

flies just beyond my reach.

Velvety soft emotions drift through this one.....like a lacy veil to wear on a Sunday evening. Dreamy! Lydi**

My pleasure, I really enjoyed this one. ;-)
Stated so eloquently as struggles of losing oneself in fearless abandon vs remaining grounded and rational through passions that catch like wildfire. Where does the line stand between all of what the heart is capable of feeling and the mind's conscious alerts that the fire is going to blaze out of control???? No one knows the true answer, my friend for each being is different, some able to withstand a fire so immense it can burn another alive....
Wonderful piece!!!! Obviously thought provoking!
Lots of love!

"More please" is a very titillating phrase. It stirs something inside.

Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed.
I must admit it is that pic that drew me in for further inspection. That solitary leaf ...and then I found more. This piece is so simple but has great depth. I think I may wander the halls a bit more to see what other things I might like. thank you.
