Realization of Sorrow

Realization of Sorrow

A Poem by Rhine Wolf

Slowly the realization of it sets in
Like a blanket of cold over my shoulder
Drawing into my flesh, settling on my bones
Feeling its cold fingers scraping turning me colder

A deep breath I draw and once more I shudder
Where are you? When will I see you again?
I am waiting, needing, longing for your touch.
Your absence is cutting me deep, you kept me sane!

Slowly the realization hits me hard!
Your return will never be on this plane
Sending me spinning, throwing me off kilter!
I am waiting in vain, till then I will wallow in PAIN!!

One day I will come to realize you are still there.
Forever by my side, guiding me, showing me the light.
Till then let me be, let me drown in my sorrow!
Soon we will be together in a loving embrace ever so tight!

Author's Note

Rhine Wolf
After the passing of my late Nana. It toke a while for it to really set in that she was actually not there any more and that to set up the emotions that she is now in a place where she can see every thing, but it also reminded me that one day we will be together. Away from the worries of this world.

I found this very loving. I can see you picking up the phone or planning to stop and visit, such a natural thing to do and then the realization hits you...and it would be like a brick every time. People may never return to the plane in the way we are used to them being but they are always with us, guiding us and watching over us in a protective hover.

*Sighhh*...very nice indeed.
