I don't think words could read any more beautifully than those you have written. How true, love is selfless, pure and sustaining. There is no force greater than genuine love and nothing that could ever come between. It is the beating of life in our veins that will embrace and nurture a soul. It is a precious gift and there is nothing greater. Though, I believe, love starts from within and that which radiates ...seekers find. :-) Just a lovely write Richard! I so enjoyed this. (artwork is quite fitting too... a blending, how perfect)

Hi Richard,
Ohhhh, LOVE, is such a fickle thing ... From our first puppy love onto our romantic love and finally if we are lucky ... to our intimate love, which can be ever lasting. If we are lucky ...
I have been known to say " What's love got to do with it?" As I have loved many over my years and have learned that love is more than just the word love.. if that makes any sense..
For me true love encompasses many things.
You poem expresses so clearly the gem that love is ..
I love the image and the way your beautiful words spilled over your page and into my heart..

Wow, Richard...Carlos says it so well in his review. We all seek that mutual true love. In the meantime, love is divine and, yet painful at the same time. We think we have found it and then, it's gone. We can only control what we give but, not how it is received by them. We have all given unrequited love....I'm sure of it. Makes one pause and think about one's own adventure with love. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful piece of poetry. Temp

dearest Richard... I have found every line to be true. Love is like a Plant to be nourished as a Rose with early morning Dew until the Sun sets, and even in the Moonlit hours... Love has it's powers. tenderly, Pat

A thought inducing piece that seeks to answer the emotional riddle we call love. I often think love is an endless sea that moves through life like a river. Spreading outwards like a creek, and is reflected in the tears we weep. It is a complex enigma, and yet a simplistic emotion. You can control the love you give, but never the love you receive. It is the thing of poetry and creativity, and yet can be destructive and chaotic. And like you said there is no true answer to this emotion, it simply must be experienced in order to know it. Love is a lifetime journey to what defines our better humanity. Thank you Richard for sharing this enlightened piece of poetry.
