Night of the Falling Star

Night of the Falling Star

A Poem by Ashley Robel
"

Desert night, falling star.

"

Mountains gracefully kiss the skies as night slowly falls.
The ground is bathed in golden light as the sun bids goodnight to the Earth.

Desert winds blow, caressing each and every cactus with angel kisses from above.

The whispers of nature lull us to sleep, as stars twinkle like diamonds.

A lost star shoots like a firework across the night air.

The Milky Way guides it on its way back home.

It falls back to Earth and is blanketed in dirt.

This is its final resting place, bathed in the moonlight of a sleeping world.

This reminds me of a trip I took to Colorado, camping at night, and I could see every star....

Nice imagery.
