hôpital (hospital)

A Chapter by Emmy

Dec 7, 2011
Mother is sick. We take her to hospital. They call sickness cancer. Father stays at hospital with mother and I care for brothers and sisters. Acel helps me much. He gets money from job for food. Adelise crys much. I worry for Acel. He works hard much. He is tried, but he says he is not. I work to. I work as "waitress" at café. Father does not go to job. He does not leave Mother. I am scared Mother will die. I stay strong for brothers and sisters. Small Alexis, born hours ago, is sick to. She is beautiful still. I love her. I do not want Mother or Alexis to die. Adelise is most scared of us. She crys much. Every night, I sing sont to her so she finds sleep. I sing,

quand le soleil se lève (When the sun rises)
dans le ciel clair (in the bright sky)
il apporte un nouvel espoir (it brings new hope)
à ses yeux des peuples (to his people's eyes)

ils rêvent de sa promesse (they dream of his promise)
ils rêvent de son amour (they dream if his love)
jusqu'à ce qu'ils s'envolent (until they fly away)
comme une colombe blanche (like a white dove)

il peut sembler tragique (it may seem tragic)
oh si triste (oh so sad)
mais laissez-moi vous dire (but let me tell you)
il n'est pas mauvais (it is not bad)

car ils sont avec le Seigneur maintenant (for they're with The Lord now)
heureux et chaleureux (happy and warm)
souriant dans le ciel (smiling in heaven)
il n'y a pas besoin de faire le deuil (there's no need to mourn)

I sing every night to her until Mother and Alexis come home. I hope they come home. Alexis is young and needs a "chance" in life. I can not let them go. I love them.
I talk to Abel today. I saw tear. I say je t'aime (I love you) and he starts crying. He says he scared. He says children "make fun" of him. He says he misses Mother, Father, and Alexis. He says sorry, he acts bad because he does not care about things anymore. He says "what is the point?" He tells me everything. I hug him and sing song. I tell him it is ok and la vie continue. It will be ok.
In English class I pass test with 83%! I put words in almost right order now, no? I study much to make me better. Au revoir, rester fidèle.
