Paralyzed Vagrant

Paralyzed Vagrant

A Poem by Robert Wilson
"

My newest poem, written after the accidental "mass deleting" as I call it. Written for a friend who finally got the courage to dump her a*s of an ex.

"

Little boy, you better watch

Your present sure is bright

But the future

Won't be so right

When you look back on your

Oh so fun life

And wonder why you

Used her

Ask yourself the reason

Why you jabbed her

With that rusted knife

When you realize your heart

Was set on treason

You're on top of the world

Sitting comfortably on your

Platinum chariot

But on your chest, there's a sore

And you'll never heal it

Well son, you'll soon

Look back

And miss that smile

You'll be taken aback

But say “Nah, it's just denial”

When you know as well as her
You never knew what

You stood for

And now your emotions are stagnant

Just a paralyzed vagrant
