Final Good-Bye

Final Good-Bye

A Poem by Sean

One last little wandering

into ideas too good to last.

A final feeling of maybe,

could be, should be by all rights,

but won't be anytime soon.

It's all I have to ask;

a chance to feel some hope,

even though it's fleeting.

This is a good poem, the flow is nice and the language is tight. And while it is tight and well written it doesn't give much and I wish some risks were taken here. I had a teacher who once told me about one person poems. He described them as a poem that resonates with one person, the author and not so much with his audience. So if I could ask for anything of this poem it would be for some specifics and some fleshing out of the issues that you bring up in this short piece. As it is, very good work, I enjoyed it.
