All about 'looking at the girls'

All about 'looking at the girls'

A Poem by SUGATA M

I still look at those young vibrant girls in the Select City Walk.

My teenage son with me,

I don’t give poor him the scope to open his dreaming juvenile mind

He keeps policing on me as his mother’s perfectly loyal pet,

‘Hey, what are you doing? Mom is looking at you’ he nudges.

How can I abandon my old school habit, so reply,

‘The whole night is there to look at your Mom’

‘Please spare me my son’,

Why can’t we look together when the lady is busy in those boring fancy shops?’

‘Worry not dear, I won’t put things straightway into her ear like you’

I got a kick out of this. It sounds like a conversation my husband and son would have.
