Your heart is tattood within me

the air around me is so cold
still remembering
so vibrant
the lessons you left in my soul

 

still feeling the warmth
you gave me
when there was no one left to hold

 

always fighting
and standing up for what you believed in
and never forgetting
the sins
that made you start to begin
chasing the faith
that I now stand for today

 

Your heart is tattood within me
if you only knew
how much your morals resonate
inside me

 

every step taken
every profound word spoken
is merely the reflection
of the man you taught me to be

 

as today I search for the compfort
I felt when your arm cradled me
it lets me step back to see
that everything you set out to be
is now everything that I believe
as I thank God that your heart is tattood within me
