A Poem by Susan S.
"

This is a prophesy that has been part of the tradition (burden?) of the rulers of A'D'Alene for centuries. The Barron is convinced it means his son so he sends him on an expedition to the eye of paal.

"

Peace: the desire of the one who rules
Must rid himself of the murdering fools.
Send the son through the eye of the god.

A weaponless weapon used to bind.
Abort a meeting of mind to mind
To save a life by the eye of the god.

Time will grow the peace that's timeless
Fire to ash to bird of kindness
Sown with tears from the eye of the god.

Author's Note

Susan S.
This is mean't to be totally cryptic except for the term "eye of the god". That refers to a lake that is magically affixed vertically to the side of a mountain. Lots of legend about this eye, but the real story has been lost in the mists of time. Well... unless you read the previous books or look it up in the glossary or change story paths

yes I think you wrote this? Great write. Deep. It is exactly as you stated (apropos fabulous rhyming, especially this natural componente in it), it is the god's eyes - what you call so - and I call it the mirror of consciousness I have to look in- that's what we daily do. We are meassured and we meassure by our compassion for the others. The whole creation was something!
