Why be so mean?

I give you love
every ounce I can
you give me bruises
I wish I'd ran

What I'd do?
To make you sneer
What do you wish for?
It's so unclear.

I fight back
you pissed me off
I must've snapped
I've had enough

Your body goes rigid
I stand tall and proud
What once your strong voice
is no longer loud
