Sunrise

Sunrise

A Poem by Sara
"

wake up, wake up

"

Sunrise

In the early morning

the slow awakening

peeks into her

consciousness

waiting for the starting

signal of a lazy yawn

and her smile.

I see you love beautiful sunrises too. I like your selection of gender and your personification.

Indeed, the simplicity of this poem amazingly and creatively peaks a start at a potentially beautiful story. The cut of each lines seems to speak wonders, and the theme of peace and beginnng is expressed very eloquently in this poem. Great write!

Brilliantly simple and simply brilliant! :)
It is a lovely write with no words wasted... In fact its brevity adds to its charm. You really know how to captivate your readers with a minimum of words...
great work!

I love a beautiful sunrise....it's definatly something you can't miss when your at the carribean. Sorry, distracted. That was very beautiful, I loved the line "peeks into her conciousness". Very beautiful as always.

Very simply, but well put :).

I second that emotion.

The beautiful sun means nothing to me if I am not beautifully sunny myself..

this is neat because it inverts the usual notion of the sun waking us up, it's sort of like the sun is waiting for the sleeper to validate her (i'm making the sun a girl here), which brings to mind the notion of if a sun rises in the forest and no one is awake to see it ... :)

... as always, precise details make the poem.
