Stars Amongst the Sky

Stars Amongst the Sky

A Poem by LazerRays
"

A weird mix of geekiness and sadness... How kinda random

"
I used to be so cold,
Then there was something about you

Ignited a supernova in my heart,
The dying pain strewn like modern art,
Like a quasar explodes with beams of light,
Every twinkling star you gaze in the night,

Spinning around each other like we're binary stars,
Pulsar feelings extend to you like the contraries are,
Brilliant trails of comets flying by me,
Intricate as the maze of spiral galaxies,

You warmed me inside like the suns radiant rays,
And I revolve around you throughout all my days,
Paint the blackness vibrant like a nebula's space,
Drawing me in uncontrollably like Sagittarius A,

It's rare along the folds of the universe,
An energy strong but sparking contraverse,
It's sad to see a young star die,
Burning out amongst the skies,

But I must redshift to save the ember,
To a dimension as old as man can remember

You are welcome Sarah.
There's nothing cringy or geeky about this poem. I thought it was beautifully written. I've always been fascinated with stars. Nothing I didn't love about this. Nicely penned.

lol and why shouldn't you be proud and i still dont think it is :P
I have to say this is gorgeous and brilliant. You are absolutely brilliant. You let your imagination brush up against the universe and let yourself be known to it. I'm still cold inside, trying to keep the fire in my heart going and trying to let it warm me, but I have the feeling that we could both become quasars with time and patience and of course Jesus.

You're welcome Sarah, much love to you in Jesus
Well I'll join ya in the cringe..but just a little. You have to go outside your range (not that this is) to keep that brain circuitry always guessing so this is a good thing...but I mean, Have you read Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac or The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoevsky yet..I mean what are doing with your summers poet? ..lol. I still liked the "It's sad to see a young star die"...There are still things to look for in this and they show a promising direction...And now I have thrown up a little in my mouth as well..thanks...thanks for that.

Thank you! That's flattering! You made my day!
I would have read this with a mixture of dumbness and ignorance if not for the 'quasar' reference you explained to me yourself once ;)
This is an emotionally well-built piece and def touches this reader as well as intrigues me. ..
For someone who thinks they're awkward letting out their emotions, you do a good job.
I enjoyed reading, of course. :D

I like the celestial theme you have used here Sarah. Sad always that stars die as everything else in the universe. The burnout is inevitable when something burns so brightly. Salvaging what one can and moving on is the best one can do.

Yeah.... Sometimes burnouts are inevitable... All we can do is hope it doesn't turn to that. Thanks .. read more

😁😁😁...it's not you...it's the poet living within yourself who writes what she feels and faces instead what other think...
Some very creative lines I enjoyed here dear Princess..Be blessed :)
