The Prayer

Knowing that the fate of the revilers was not good,

And Had been clarified,

Those Haters not praised as Heavenly Beings but

Devoted to pain and purgatory upon themselves,

For which they could not be helped,

The Many Praises of Heaven continued to be sung!

Oh but Heaven is Glorious, not in vain! But in Glory!

Shining Power! Happiness to the world of beings!

May the Good Lord Brahma bring upon us

The true Glory of the Holy Discourses

Expounded by the Samanas

And Brahmanas of old,

May we see and taste Heaven Supreme!

Tasting it’s Glory, seeing it upon our flesh,

Much happiness and gladness will we incur…

For much have we sorrowed, lamented in pain,

Much have we pined for what is better!

Happiness!

May good not be defeated,

May the good rise above!

May the wicked give up, the cruelty of world!

May the good not suffer, may the good be free from pain!

Glory to God!

All beings are the owners of their actions…

Kammasakka!

For not in pain or sorrow I weep,

But in joy… Glory to God, the Brahma!

Brahma the Maha Brahma, Unvanquished Vanquisher!

Defeator of foes! Glory to God! Kammasakka!

Glory to Him! Glory to Heaven! Praises to Him…

Kammasakka!

Glory to Him! Glory to God! Kammasakka!

Glory to Him! Glory to Heaven!

Glory to the Ones are free from pain,

The Holy Deities

May they released from aging and death!
