Absolutely Relative

Absolutely Relative

A Poem by w

How can truth be relative
and absolute simultaneously?

For something (not truth)
to be relative it is dependent
upon certain external conditions
for its specific nature or
something that happens to be
proportionate to a certain value
and to be proportionate
is to balance or
make a thing harmonious
to a certain situation.

None of this is absolute -
pure, complete as it is,
unadulterated,
without change or imperfection.
Absolute is just as it is,
no change required.

So truth, being absolute,
is the opposite of relative
and is therefore not
debatable
because if it happens to be
debatable
than it is not the truth
and if it is not the truth
it may be debatable

(do you understand circles yet)

and even though
truth is absolute
it may not always be
the absolute truth

and therefore it becomes
relative and debatable.

So truth can be relative,
but true truth is absolute.

this is a beautiful philosophy you have exposed and makes me want to ponder it while skipping shells on the sea, good stuff

Simultaneously is kind of defining the other two. It's extra words. Like "actual experience" or "valid fact" or "precise clarity". The conjunction "and" insinuates it already. And it effs up meter and pacing.

The parentheses are a bit strange for me. It is a bit distracting. It's the crux of those three lines, second stanza. Why is it shunted to the side? By conditions, do you mean variables? Like theory in abstract? Or logic build-up?
Proportionate is repeated. Me no like.

Absolute is repeated. Me no like. Me no like.

it's very scattered. Maybe stream-of-conscious. It's tone is like drug-fueled epiphany. Very distracting and disoriented.

"True truth"? How is that a thing? That's like "verifiable history" or "actually certain". Both words are the same and denote each other. It isn't needed; doesn't pick up any new connotations. It's a little banal as a whole, like fundamental logic bricks that don't amount to anything new in the science of "truth" and "rationality" as abstractions. You basically taught me Truth 1A or Logic Argument 101. I took those classes already. Sorry, not my favorite thing by you.

Wow, well written food for thought. Nice flow, and use of parentesis.
