I Don't Know Erotica

I Don't Know Erotica

A Poem by Blue
"

So...can you teach me?

"
My lover...
I am a poet.
But I don't know erotica.

Will you please...

undress my ignorance
and write me an experience?

I am like a delicate paper,
consumed with the desire to be felt--

Just promise you'll be gentle?

Explore my exposed flesh with poetic touches
and discover a potential universe.

Wrap me inside the wonder of your words...
Until we explode--

in prose and poetry.

Yes...

Lose me in the pages of your passion...

Again and again.

Thank you, Daydreamer!
Beautiful for being outside your comfort zone. Erotica is difficult to do without being overly explicit and pornographic but this does it. It's beautifully worded. I struggle with that problem in my fiction. I just thought about the things I didn't like about "Fifty Shades of Gray"! Good luck to you in teaching secondary English, and I'm very excited about young people who are committed to a lifetime relationship with language.

it is very inspiring and something to be felt. I try to express myself in every poem I write. You are a very inspiring writer. You have none to be uncomfortable about. Because it is a very good piece.

Thank you so much, Ssadd.
I am like a delicate paper consumed with the desire to be felt...a beautiful metaphor. True to the spirit of the title, there is a gentle mood in this piece, but successive stanzas suggest a coming out of the shell...I love the progression of the pice...I think your future is bright in this area of writing if you choose to pursue this topic any further :)

Hahahahahaha. Wow. Thank you. My church friends might be shocked to know I'm into this, though. LOL.
Not too over the top or overly explicit. Nice I say.

Thank you, Lethu. I like subtle sensuality.
A great expression of erotica in ways more erotic than ever ... or is it the source of eros? But why I wonder does it always threaten us to lose ourselves in its pages? Nice.

Haha. Made me think. I wish I knew. Thank you, Dayran.
I like this one, it possess a unique bit of self-deprecation and humor about a distaste you have for erotica. At the same time it is both humorous and beautiful. Good job!
