Shock

Shock

A Poem by Tonya
"

Something I wrote my senior of High School about a real event in my life. Thought I'd share it with you

"

The TV blared, but I couldn't hear it

The room never stayed still, it continued to spin

Blood pounded in my ears, pumping thought my body

Sweat beats down my forehead, my palms getting sweaty

My parent's voices swirling around my head

Two words flashing in my young mind

YOU'RE ADOPTED

This is a very sad piece... two terrible words... You've expressed your pain very well. Thanx 4 sharing.

That's brutal.
How awful.
I like how you wrote this though.

Ps.

Emotionally that is an awesome "from-the-blue" hit. Imagining how a mind would wrap itself around such a statement is something most can only imagine let alone witness.
