An Incestuous Beast

An Incestuous Beast

A Poem by SheActsLikeSummer
"

Feast on thy spirit burnt to an ash...

"
Feast on thy spirit
Burnt to an ash
Thou has no witness
To the foul crime
A heart that boils
Could a tale unfold
As the stars illuminate
Thy soul; eternal blazon
The witchcraft of
An incestuous beast
Writing thy future
With the quill of a pen
But let not it control
Let not them have power
Fathom stars to constellations
And those shape thy heavens
Decline the vile
Sent it dispatch
Blossom into pure
As it is purged away

This sounds like a warning from the witch trials, not to be seen to know too much in case you are called out. But what a story such a heart would tell. Nicely done
PS...boring fact time.....although it has been passed down as common knowledge that in Europe thousands of people were burnt as witches, very few were. In Britain, there is only two recorded burnings and history makes little mention of the fact that the vast majority of cases didnt even have a guilty or not guilty verdict, but they were instead excused due to the in fighting between rome and the royals. I only mention this as i watched a programme on it last night. Spooky timing, eh?

I wish there was a single moment in my life that summed up who I am. Just a short snippet of time that I could copy and paste here so I didn't have to rack my mind for something to say. But I kind of .. more..
