Lullaby at 3 AM

Lullaby at 3 AM

A Poem by Shuvam De Biswas
"

this relates to her mind, the innocent mind weaving innocent love, till the innocence is tampered by a heartbreak, which makes her suspect love at every stage of life.

"
Sleepy eyes, she goes to her bed,
Cozying up. A tough day it was,
She better listen to some music at 3 AM
Before she were to doze off.
Too lazy to search, she plays the last song on record,
She hears the song, and is instantly reminded
This song hits different.
For she is reminded of her solitary bed,
How it gave her chills, a tear she shed.
The song was personified, seemed to be sung in the voice of her past,
Lyrics felt stronger than music, of her past love she is reminded.
She breathes heavily, lays on her side, the tears evaporate, leaving a cold face then.
She wants to sleep, but the song on loop plays again.
The song once a Lullaby to her, keeps her awake another night in agony and pain.

I know this feeling well, I am sure many of us do. I am no stranger to listening to songs on repeat, late at night into the early morning. The memories flooding my mind, as I silently cry into my pillow. Very deep, thanks for sharing.
