for those who can't tell after reading this, it's slightly inspired by some good old poker.

I thought I had it all worked out
I figured it was gone
My feelings were all put aside
But, sadly, I was wrong

It hurts for me to see you now
Still so in love with her
Wishing you would just move on
Wishing you could learn

That nothing ever goes as planned
Things happen best by chance
I’ve made my choice and now it’s time
For you to play your hand

The cards are dealt on tables turned
Now you see the other side
And now I know that some things
Are often best to hide

But who knows?
Maybe things could change
As things most often do
