wisps of shadow
(Tumbling Tercets)

ribbons of shadow
awaiting a sigh…
and a breath to lift

them…to twirl and
blend with motion,
pausing near me

knowing I’m not
oblivious to its wiles
…the pull of grey

and the softness of
shadow. Exhaling,
leaving me drained

and touched by the
lightness of this…
awaiting a sigh

This is mystical and has a ethereal feel to it. I love the
first stanzas: ribbons of shadow
awaiting a sigh
and a breath to lift

This ties the whole poem together. AD
