"Innovation" for the sake of Applause!

"Innovation" for the sake of Applause!

A Poem by Silente-Write
"

If lauded...

"
Dope innovations for the sake of applause and tender
if lauded beside a lawn mindin' my own business
I might see god in a t-shirt
Maybe make me less than agnostic as I pause to wonder
if god came down in fair-weather...
Gave me an exhausting conversation about purity'n'sinnin'
 ...and the relationship between 'em
I might stop wondering how to grow extra hot-heads like the hydra
like the signs of the fire hydrant in hottest of summer
When the kids play merry-go-round on the side of the sidewalk
interestingly enough...
I have had about enough of adults actin' adolescent
Add that bad-batch to the passing-fact that-that bad-pass at my rash-act-trash...
Seems off the top
a swat-gnat
:)

i've been swatting those gnats as well..
the bad-batch line is so good the way it rolls off the tongue.

yes, adults acting like children...this makes me think of our government right now, which is supposed to be a govern-meant to work for the people...not just fight among themselves...and i wonder what kind of conversation we would have with god if he came down and "was a slob like one of us" as Joan Osborne sang...
stirring piece here.

" I have had about enough of adults actin' adolescent"
This line captured my attention.
And that's true...
I agree with you because maturity isn't the matter of age but the matter of experience and ability to understand and handle things properly.

can I understand from this that You want to be a God ;) here is something good for You to hear, we all have it inside us the essence of God and You seem to know and understand what this means, unlike many other ones who claim to be adults with open minds but they are no more than brains locked inside heads lol I don't know what this means. this hectic world with those fake persons will keep giving You headaches and "blow" Your mind, but it's Your action of creation that keeps You on track while You give words and ease Your spirit, now I surely must APPLAUD You my friend :)

In this age of Facebook, where some are posting their lives as if manufacturing a myth meant to impress, your rambling rant hits many satisfying notes. Some present their faith over social media like they are hoping to garner an award for piousness. Some present the same petty gripes in different kiddie pajamas each time. You've pegged it. The reason I often struggle to stay connected when some connections have nothing to do with connecting (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Some adults seem to have inherited wounds from youth that somehow never washed away. They still see through the eyes of anger and use it as a tool.

No one here can weave words in the same style as you, Silente.

Nice expressions within this.

It sure is...
I feel this wonderful poem is about agnosticism and pondering on the questions of God, sin, adults acting like children and the many innovations and myths that sprung out of man and many religions. I love how you say if we can see God in fair weathers. Brilliant. Your questionings on innovations are beyond just conversations.
