UnModern Art

A Poem by sinNsincerity

Her idol was once the object of her fantasies,

but you see,

marble eyes are beautiful,

but they cannot see what I see.

Unless,

Unless,

Yes...

-I could bring you to life

with the worship of Aphrodite,

but unlike Pygmalion,

My moon stood the moon

and the prostitution of my mind continues...

Who will I find?

Have you ever watched a movie by the name of "May"? It's an extremely creepy take on the Frankenstein tale (without Frankenstein). I'm probably misinterpreting this but your poem made me think of that movie and it's titular character. May... that b***h is crazy.

Even being far off on the meaning, I still think this is well written. You always write well, even when I attach my own meaning... it seems to work. Good job, again.

Thought provoking words, and even if I don't entirely understand your motivation, the imagery of a marble statue, particularly in the moonlight lets the mind travel.

Some of those blank eyes, with that haunting translucent beauty, which might once have been painted... still almost as perfect as when they were sculpted, have seen two thousand years or more. What they might have seen and who they represent..??

This really speaks to my heart, I can relate well, which makes it such a beautiful expression.Beautifully written . really enjoyed reading it.
Makes you wonder abt your thinking processes, soul sacrifice once again . This is the second poem I've read of yours and lovely reading/writing.Though didnt understand a bit of it, but enjoyed the implications thoroughly.

I'll be reading this again and again. It fascinates me, which I enjoy. I can't quite take it all in, sorting out all the nooks and crannies. Well done.
