A Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)
"

Proud of this one. From this point on, I will share small bite-sized poems with my larger ones. That way I don't have to have a separate piece just for them. Find them at the bottom of larger poems.

Pen Name

The omnipotent abyss of idiosyncrasies bliss

A symphony’s kiss like the pop of a cyst

Cataclysms given euphemisms

Deprived of the prisms

The sunrise it is hidden

In the megalomaniac Nirvana

Andromeda’s revolver polyphonic monochrome

Of the monotone soma of chromosomes

Flowing through the radio cloaca of

Circulatory oracles of the faceless dissipation of earthquake oasis

Astral pastels of rebellion resonating hatred

Amplifiers of highrise skylines redefine the spine of the man

Shapeshifting eucalyptus eclipse

Icarus drifts through the chrysalis

Polycrystalline ricocheted heaven’s transcendent grip

On the barrel of burgundy a constellation’s grenade of tornado halos

Ellipsis of vicarious marionettes

Sever the femdom’s tendons of malevolence

And bend to the tempo of endlessness tempests

The seraphim ripped my heartstrings out

Just to watch me dangle from them

People willing to climb up the highest cliffs

Find themselves lost among mountains

Just to fall further than a valley

People willing to climb the highest cliffs

Learn to taste the deepest valleys

Don’t you see me?

Burning in a vibrant meadow of heartbreak?

I barf butterflies along with my gut feelings

Stomach mouths that scream obscenities until queasy

Swallow hollow words without fulfillment,

Always full of myself, my body and blood

I can take more than my fill and go hungry for love

Even when I have no appetite to bite the bullet

The chamber of my stomach revolving revolted

I starve in a desert (eagle) full of empty-hearted people

Morsels of the leftover humanity

God’s last meal

The good word tastes terrible

I swallow god’s apathetic prayers

For hunt of flesh on flesh

Nonflesh couldn’t comprehend the taste of

I crave the candied words of a liar

I cradle eggs that break out of their shell

And flower into solitude

Someone who can tell me

I don’t leave a bitter taste in their mouth

Chewing them out until I'm sick

The parts of me that have spoiled, gone bad

Binging on the time crunch

Icing on the cakewalk of the bittersweet-tooth

Of this broken comb’s overbite

Throwing you a bone to suck the marrow from

In our dog eat dog world

You are my flesh and blood

We are a family of mealworms

Innocent smiles always seem to eat dirt

We each share our inkblot hearts

Like a cotton-candy mess of tangled amethyst clouds

We’re all on the same page

Do you know where to draw the line?

Tossing and turning under journals of hurricanes

Blanketing the sky black lit by white light’s slices of poltergeist

Sharpening our wits like a pencil

Printing letters we arrange into sentences

Never worth sharing

Conviction a complicit accomplishment

Shooting hoops in court

With an iron ball hung across my angel wings

Divine judgement

Like jumping through the translucent hoops

Of our double-helixes

Loopholes of trypophobia

Four-leaf clovers all phantasmagorical

So high-spirited every suicide’s note left behind joyously over the moon

The sky’s the limit breaker

Every octave we choirs’ of saints scream hang from

Is low-key silence

Our infinite lives mashed and ground, zero

By the mouth of God’s Ragnarok before the world swallows us whole

Like another wave on a placid beach of post mortems’ gold

With good tidings

Tricked into treatment for a disease you haven’t caught onto

You make me sick

Holding on for dear life

Third times the charm to come fourth everlasting in this place

For the second chances are taking a gamble

Who knows why in the first place

And there are no take-backs in this life

Translating chaos is pure elation’s masturbation

Daring devils into pulling stunts doubling back as doppelgangers

Bending over backwards until I unravel into a spiral of fallen stars

Folding into tsunami’s of origami’s olive garden

Karma’s open jaw

Eat up my empty, you’ll never find fulfillment

Aching Homosapien

First come, first serve the sentence

I’ll give you my word

You gave me a name

Push back the pieces into place and finish the puzzle

Games of fornicating civilizations amputated ravens mosaics of ancient constellations

Water under the bridge the gap in my pothole city street heart

Driving myself crazy on memory lane aisle four cause I’m a mess

Clean myself in holy water and bathe in blues and drink in colours of muse

Wear the dreams of lucid crucifix like a noose of butterflies bruised with loose thread

The blossom of cosmos bottomless as your eyes

The hurricane of flesh you are

The maelstrom of voices you pull towards in morbid orbit’s cornea cornucopia

The death you bred like a beautiful monsoon in the middle of June

Blooming balloons of ballroom doom Kahlua ludicrous

Drunk on power-hungry for more than my heart

Taking a bite out of my apple core

Spitting out my seeds

Burying me in the dirt

Can’t be in your garden

I’m just a weed

I’m going to go drown in the gravel now

And go back to my roots

Soil my clothes under a rusty sunrise

Find another ditch to lie down in

Flower

Under radiator sun

Mechanical animals and iron lungs high-strung on telephone lines divided

And every single word I’ve sung

Annihilated violently repenting for heaven’s centipede

Crawling through halogen’s of solitude’s Molotov goldenrod frolicking gobbledygook

Apocrypha in my eyesockets rockets of velocity blossoming in my anemic brain

Halfway sane

Pathway chains

Aftershave

Pray

Lick clean the slate

And die again

A fireworks

End

Wind up dead and start a trend

Find another silent friend

Pull the trigger by its ligaments

Raze my middle finger indiscriminate

Picnic with willow wisps and wicker men

Climb the sycamore

Hang on a minute, more

Bang

How low, how low will I stoop?

Crumple myself into a ball of paper-cuts

A stray dog taken in

Dreamless

Question to your answer is the silence of my smile

I cannot remember the teardrop of your face

Let me find my way back into your back-alley arms and crevices

My graffiti Elysium spray painting over our hazy mosaic

My heart a w***e for love on the other side of a concrete wall

Brick by brick I build myself back up in this cardboard box

And the suburban bourbon of eternity chains my vertebrae

Mermaids, playboys, stale angels fable claymores through the sweat pores

Spilling the guts of split milk across the butterfly born belly of the beast

In the bowels of Valhalla’s saliva climbing sliding rhyming rhinestone

And the clockwork machine of empty skulls

Filled with belongings that will never fit

Will spit me out like the tooth of hair comb

And rip the wings off horseflies till freefall

Like a shooting star without ammo

In a solar system that revolves around hate

Every bullet-casing left by God

Like saying (through a silverlining of lead)

Take your best shot

Aimless as we are

A blank

Canvas

Triggered by a world that doesn’t understand our mechanisms

Loaded with bullshit, capitalism sluggishly

Lead down a path of hollow shells, fingernail clippings, solitary chambers

Meandering dandelions of xylophone cyanide poltergeist kaleidoscopes

Dirty magazines and loose cartridges that swallow armadas for starving starling harbingers

The shadows on the hallway walls of a labyrinth of sidewalks

The holes in our arguments

The cracked mirror shards are staring through the looking glass

Bigshots of a small world

You are nothing but the breeze

Glad you enjoyed the work, there are so so many poems I write that are super long. I'm glad you're i.. read more
you always 'come at' things with a unique perspective that confronts our ways of thinking. it is refreshing. your vast vocabulary and word-knitting are very different. reading you is always like talking a long walk on the flip-side. you pack so much in - philosophy, truth, self-examination and on and on, whew. the imagery you paint is very cerebral along with the added pics. very powerful and packing its usual punch squarely between the eyes ... :)

Your write is evolving by leaps and bounds RJ I joke that brevity has never been my strong suit but you always make me reconsider my standpoint on this LOL! This is easily five poems the amount of work you put into these streams is mind boggling but you cadance and flow is getting so much better... (I say this most emphatically) and the way you are wrapping words like morsels is very palpable it has been an interesting trip watching your evolution my friend

This one seemed to have more "pop" to it. I like how it was more focused.

Oh masturbation . . . I've been too exhausted for that lately, but I'd like to make more time for it.

Kari, I didn’t need to know that. I’m glad it’s more focused though.
