In Stillness-Standing 7

# 7 in the Series of My Soul's Journey

 

I paused in thoughtful reverence

when the voice said, “Close the door”

Sum fifty years of vanished

days axed gone forevermore

 

You may utilize old memories

and hard lessons which were learned

Rest forward now and contemplate

the battles fought-the victories earned

 

Gazing toward the unlocked gates

where future promise does reside

The voice beckoned reassurance

“Come now, follow me inside”

 

Stepping through the final threshold

into a stupendous starry home

The voice has always been there

to guide me safely tho’ I roamed

 

Standing in such stunning beauty

The voice spoke a teaching new

“Sway with the sacred pendulum

there is little more you need to do”

 

“Do not allow another’s tick

break the rhythm of your tock

Once more again, do not forget

the lesson of the sacred clock”

 

"This clock moves all so subtly

within its holy time and speed

Faint movement in sidereal sound

hamonizes life with cosmic creed"

Your meter was right on and you did a terrific job of creating imagery. The clock references are superb, this piece seems to fit better than the last #7. You have to write so condensed with the form you chose and it keeps the mind busy while reading it. Well done (:
