Running Away: The Tales of A Sub-Culture

Running Away: The Tales of A Sub-Culture

A Poem by John Dennis Gillespie

Here we are once again, coloring in our fantasies fading out reality.
Here we are once again, running away from all the truth to remain in things we shouldn't do.
Oh, dreams are so much better though, dreams are so damn lovely.
Life is so damn miserable. My dreams are much more stunning.
We are experimenting with the odds leaving the masses with the evens.
The ideas of the minority are clashing with the seasons.
Bitter cold, bitter cold, is this world in its real form.
Red and warm, Red and warm, is our hearts, but we still ignore, that fact.
The fact is our imagination can take us to the clouds and our actions to the moon.
The saddest fact is our actions can take us to the moon, but, only good fortune can allow you to stay.
Here we are once again, running away.
Here we are once again, running away.
