Blinded Eyes

Blinded Eyes

A Poem by Latonya Hughes
"

My view of how the world operates...

"

A world that views itself in black and white,

Tends to make no room for shades of gray...

When life is led by rules of fight or flight,

Then war becomes the standard price we pay.

As vengeance reigns, and love is cast aside,

We lose sight of our own humanity.

Through blinded eyes, and perpetrated lies,

Distortion creates our reality.
