DEATH & DARKNESS

(a parody of book titles)

While “Americans were in Space”…

Having “Dreams of Home”…

And “Dancing with Butterflies”…

“Beneath the Sky”,

The “Man in the Wooden Hat”,

Felt abandoned.

“But not for long”,

When he felt “The Chill” of the “Cold Blood”

As “The Fleet Street Murders”.

Delivered a “Death Message” to Wormwood NV.

Where “faces in the Pool” carried a “Grave Secret”.

To the “House of Windows”,

Where there were “No doors, no windows”.

The end.

Author's Note

Susan
not my typical poem. A little on the dark side.
